    Hello Folks:

I live in Bedford, New Hampshire and just purchased a 1000X. The best deal I could find is down on Long Island, NY. I plan to pick it up this coming Saturday. As I will be taking the ferry to the island, I plan to leave the trailer at home and I hope Can Am is right that the commander fits in the bed of a full size pickup. In my case this is an F350 crew cab long bed diesel. If it will not fit, someone please flag me OFF

In any case, I appreciate the chance to be part of this forum!

    Mike

Well, not much of a ride report so far. I put 7 miles on the machine and blew a rear tire. Yes, nice 2 inch, non repairable gash. Gets better; the Maxiss Bighorn 2 in 27x11x12 is apparently unique to can am dealers and none of the dealers in my area have these in stock. 1 week wait minimum. Well this gives me time to instal some after market parts...

Yes, I know exactly what cut it. I have been clearing a wooded area next to a stream on my property - a track of sorts. I cut off a small tree, probably 2 inches in diameter, with a chain saw. The tree was coming out of the ground at nearly a 45 degree angle, my cut was perpendicular to the ground. This made for a nasty little edge, the ground around it is moist forrest - so really soft. It was at the edge of the trail. (I should have taken a picture of it, but I was so pissed that I nuked it with a half stick of dynomite.)

I hit it with the edge of the rear passenger tire and poof - all she wrote for a 7 mile tire!

Yes, we have it all up here in New Hampshire; rocks, trees, brush, hills, flats, water hazzards, deep sticky black mud, and sand!

I know these bighorn 2.0 tires have a good reputation in the sand tho ...they work so well aired down that BLR really doesn't care if she has the paddles on or not in the sand ....I realize the sidewall rating is high, but many peeps have torn their tires like you did ...

IMO, if you tear another tire, you may want a better tire for your type of riding and then sell the remaining 3 tires?
