Here's something scary that happened to a friend up here this summer....he's running a high boost turboed Busa in his Rhino....playing hard in the dunes and it caught on fire....after saving it with a fire extinguisher, he deduced that it was not the sound deadening product itself that ignited, but was actually the self adhesive backing of said product... makes you think a bit more about the whole package (the glue not withstanding extreme heat)

That is why I used the Thermo-Tec product which was designed for high heat environments and not the mats that are really designed for deadening vibrations in doors where your speakers are placed. It does get very hot there where the engine and pipes are.

Exactly......and congrats to you as there may be a few fires ticking away to get started because of this audio sound deadening matting.

Your welcome, glad that I could help. And yes audio sound/vibration deadening mats aren't made for the high heat applications like the dynamat, thermotec, and gt-mat.

If it can't play, it can't stay!
