I did this video on the install of the Turnkey UTV Spare Tire Carrier. It was pretty straight forward and easy, but I wanted to post this because I thought it might answer some questions for you that I had before I got it.

Really nice job on the video. Question, while I see you covered the possibility of a larger tire, what about those who may have different offset wheels or wider tires? Wonder if that is something you need to share with Turnkey during the order process as the mounting stubs may not reach depending on the wheel offset. Also, I assume you can place the unit on either side of the bed, was there any reason why you chose the drivers side? (Not saying that is not the right place for it, just was not sure if you had a reason)

Once again, well done on the video, looks like a nice product!

Thanks. Good questions. The carrier can only accommodate a rim with the offset of the stock front tire, whatever that might be. If you wanted to mount a tire with a larger offset, maybe a wheel spacer would work best.

I never tried installing it on the passenger side, but I don't see why it wouldn't fit. Behind the driver makes more sense to me, however, since it does not block the driver's view in any way. Putting it on the passenger side would block the driver's view when looking to the rear-right.

It really is a nice setup. It takes up minimal space in the bed, and it still allows the bed to tilt. Other carriers that mount to the cage do not.

We have spacers and longer bolts for customers with wider wheels. The only fit on the drivers side, they get in your view on the passenger side, but we do have passenger side mounts. We have plans for something on the passenger side.
