    That sounds nice!! We usually ride every couple weeks and never have long term storage, so the tenders aren't really a requirement for us.

    X2 I have the optimate 3 and its the bomb, I have brought batteries back to life with it!

    I use a ctek battery charger. It also monitors temperature and keeps cycling the battery. I also use a waterproof in dash connector which monitors the battery power with a green, orange and red led. The mounting hole is exactly the same size as the commander's switches, so very easy to install and a pretty nice look...

    Do you have to remove the battery to have it on a level surface in order to tend., or can it be tended while installed in the Commander.

    I never remove my battery for tending it. Other wise the quick connect kit in my dash has no point at all...
