I got a set for my son's Honda TRX250. They are a PITA to install, and that was on some pieces that are MUCH smaller than the Commander. The quality of the decals is great, and the adhesive is awesome. The biggest problem is trying to fit a flat decal on rounded surfaces. AMR did a terrible job of designing relief cuts in the decals on most of the pieces.
My customer review of the "Como Kits" from AMR is: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS unless you ARE NOT a picky Commander owner!
There is 1/2" to 3/4" of the Base Color Plastic exposed between the pieces of the body panels at most places and 1/4" minimum at the edges of the panel!
Looks like $#it smeared on a white horse
I don't believe these are intended to be a wrap. I think they are more of a flare look. I installed one of these for one of my customers and I would rather install two LT's with Shocks then tackle one of these again! It looked really sharp once it was done and because of the thickness it will semi-protect the plastics from minor scratches.
That is to bad, I would like to get a graphics kit but only to make it look better and I don't even care for any of the designs yet available. I would like to see a yellow that matches the plastic so if Ireland line up it would still look good. I also don't want to speed forever putting it on.
Thanks for the info guys
I like my AMR decals. And they are not a wrap. Took a bit of time to get them right but they sure protect the plastics. I def. would not go Camo of any type because off the seems. But, for the money they look sweet. I went with the tribal in yellow....
Thanks... Brian...we've done a few machines now and found the kits are a good way to really protect the plastics. 2 machines were X's and decals were a must for where we ride. Plus, once the decals get toasted you can replace them for little cost compared to the body panels.... I like AMR because you can custom order with all sorts of different options and it doesn't cost any more, just takes more fab.time.
