Hey Guys thought you might like to check out this video from the race this weekend at Durham Town Plantation. It was a Rally Raid format which is 4 hours iron man or team event. I had the opportunity to ride with one of our racers Jim Tsokatos in his RZR in the mod class. There was a good turn out and a great event. Thanks to everyone for putting it together. We will be sponsoring the 2011 season. They will have a schedule out soon. Thanks

Hey Tony, that was fantastic. Why dont we have those out here in California? Im very sure we would have more than enough participation. Lets just keep it on the Amature level so everyone can do it, not just the Pros with their $50k machines. Amazing. Thanks for the Vid.
This series is just taking off, We would love to see it grow in the future and expand to more of the country right now it's based out of GA and the southeast. I don't know why people don't put something like this on all over the country. It will probably stay on the amateur level for now, but classes will keep it fare for everyone. But I have been talking with Jason from southeastsxs.com and pushing for more locations around the country. We just need info on some riding spots that would be willing to hold the event. So if you got any ideas shoot them to me and I will pass it along. We had a good turn out and expect more next time for sure. They're next race is Feb. 19 start planning its worth the trip. I'll be down there for sure. And no our Commander didn't make the trip this time. Still under construction but plan on seeing it out there next time!
Hi guys, thanks for the props on the vid and thanks to Commander Talk for letting Tony display it.
UTV Rally Raid is a great series and as Tony says, it is a new series starting out. There is nothing like it for UTV's. All courses are specifically designed for high speed UTV endurance racing. They are not old MX tracks with MX or ATV jumps and there is no GNCC style racing in between tress, through pot holes and over stumps.
I took the idea as a mix of European rally style driving and dakar/baja style racing. The first race had outstanding feedback, more than we could ever have hoped for and everyone that raced has already said they will be back for the next one.
We would love to see the series grow and we have big plans for it but we have to start somewhere and the south east is where we are based. We are already trying to get two other ORV parks involved and have obtained sponsorship for the 2011 season from three vendors.
You can race 1 race of the whole series the choice is yours, also race fees can be as low as $50. Racertech were our first sponsors and we are very proud indeed that they feel this series has legs and is worth getting involved in. If you like to fast trail ride and want to combine that with racing and still get your ride home in one piece then UTV Rally Raid is for you.
If I can help anyone in anyway with information please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. I am a racer myself over the years and I know what it takes to provide real racers with real events.
UTV Rally Raid, there really is nothing like it out there.
Hi and thanks. The intention right now is to provide a solid footing for the series in the south east but expansion is planned. In just two days the video has had over 300 views on You Tube and I think this is mainly due to the fact that people are telling their friends about just how great the event was. Also we don't plan to just take any ORV park or site for the races, they have to meet certain criteria for the course and facilities to be able to hold UTV Rally Raid. They need to have facilities for the racers and their families as well as the course itself. I have already turned down one site as it simply was not ready to hold what we really believe will become a premium racing event.
We have poured a lot of work into it and hopefully things will just get better. We plan to use transponder timing as we can raise money from sponsors along with track maps for racers and some really nice prizes. Like I said we have really big plans for the series and I would love to see it go nationwide.
The Canam commander that raced did very well indeed and we would love to see more Canams out there to represent the brand, it was very quick and the one that raced was the X edition. I used to ride the Renegade X before I got into UTV's so I know just how good Canam products are.
Thanks again guys, it will take real co-operation from forums, websites and sponsors to make this series what it could very easily become and that benefits the sport as a whole. UTV's have always been classed as the "also ran" at race events but not anymore.
AWESOME!! That's my kinda riding. Where do I sign up. Very cool, thanks for the video. Lets see some more.
Well I see you are in TX so if you can get to GA we would love to have you race. You can find all the info on the race over at the site listed in the vid. Thanks for the kind words on the vid.
