Disclaimer....8pm Sat evening...already had dinner & drinks after a full day of breaking in the Cah-Mandi.....
not responsible for grammar, misspells or any other mis-contents nor anything else that might get me into trouble...
This review was done on the dunes in Oregon
I'm also kinda comparing it to LBR's Rhino with the 800 Rotax
I'm starting out with the cons 1st..
1) Which I knew was going to be an issue only because we have the Thottle by wire in TJ jeep... it has a little more lag then if it was just fuel injection, (I sure wish it was like the old 650 holly double pumper I had on my 57 chevy) the 800 rotax that we have in our Rhino is diffently more responsive when the pedal is mash to the floor....I think after Motoman breakin which I did today it will be OK once I get use to it...
2) Steering does not seen to be a problem like some have expressed,, but I diffently notice a difference between 2 and 4 wheel drive.
Cons & Pros
Steering & Steering Wheel...I will diffently be getting different driving gloves or a steering wheel cover...the steering is very quick and with the gloves I (and when I did finally let LBR drive it) was driving with needed a more grip..,,
Shocks (fox)will need to be adjusted ...a little stiff ok a lot...lots of room for adjustment thou
I really had to listen for the clunk....not an issue for us
Pros
Oh my God the power, we left the Big Horns totally full of pressure 12 in the front 14 in the back...we were awe struck at what they did....we are use to running paddles in the dunes.. I never really pushed it to the limit since we were just doing the breakin and I also didn't want to glazed the belt..
and we were taking everthing in 2 wheel drive (sand was wet but soft)
where i thought I might have problems and not want to just grind away I put it 4x4 and no problem.
Pucker Factor....only twice...once in 2 wheel drive side hilling hit some ruts from quads...... then I decided to let LBR drive it..almost a mistake..I looked at him face to face and said....You Had Better Not Roll It....thank goodness for soft sand...:furious:
The engine braking is even better then the 800, never had to really use the brakes, infact had to give it thottle going down some of the hills to keep it from sliding the rear wheels or having it swap ends...
We never had a problem with it losing power and we were cutting pretty hard and had it up on 2 wheels a couple of times.....
I also did a jump (not big but had all 4 off the ground...by mistake) keep in it and we did not nose dive/lawn dart it.
but it was diffently not a MX course...lol
a friend that we had go out with us (RZR in case we had a problem & need towed) was inpressed also...
All In All it is everything that we expected...
Note to self...need more power..... and don't let LBR drive....lol..
LBR is online right now ordering BBK kit for his 800
I am and so is LBR that we have the Cah-Mandi....
This is just mine & LBR's obversations
