I have one of his kits on my Teryx... took me some getting used to, however, have had zero issues and Dale is always available to help if needed. Did Dale indicate a release time for the Commander clutch kit?

I'm running the Dalton 800R kit in the Rhino.....with the green/yellow spring, heaviest weights in the 3 fingers and on the secondary I installed a 650 helix in place of the stock 800 one.......

Speculation is that this 800R kit will work fine in our Commanders, but would be nice to see some test results with different weights and primary spring to initialize a good starting point for our individual riding preferences.....

With the above setup (green/yellow spring), it brought my belt engagement up to about 2100-2200 RPM and I LIKE IT THERE!!.....if I was to start clutch tuning tomorrow, this would be my starting point, except am not sure about the helix that is engineered in there now.......

There is also a tan spring that a couple guys with Rhinos used that hooked up about 1900 RPM....they liked the tan spring, lower engagement better because of being 4 seaters and more of a cruising/family/easier on the newborn's neck :giggle: motif..........Lance

Thanks for the inquiries guys!

We are going through some paces and building some stuff to work with. Sometimes we get lucky and can use stuff we have but just as often not. Still not enough results yet to tell.

Potentially, any time HP peak rpm,..peak hp,...gearing,...static weight,...rotating weight,...final drive ratio,...altitude(which is lack of air, fuel, and hp).....surface you ride on..etc.....if any of it changes, then the optimal most efficient cvt calibration changes.
Possibly some of the atv stuff will indeed apply, but as you can see,...a vehicle that weighs more than twice as much and often carries two people with a different engine and different gearing...it could be different. Sometimes the different gearing makes up for some of that and components are similar,..sometimes you just have to start over.

We worked 3 months getting the RZR to run the belt temps we wanted in certain conditions....and it was not pre- snowmobile season at the same time.

We will keep plugging away and keep you posted. Hopefully it will come soon.

PS,those who have emailed us are greatly appreciated,we love to hear what people want, expect, and like/dislike about the vehicle. Stay in touch.

Yeah, what she said Helix...WELCOME...I've followed you on the quad channel for awhile.....can get to be info overload at times...:)....I am betting we all can fine-tune many more HP/Torque #s our of our Commanders once we get a starting point.....Lance

Sometimes I actually think Oregon would be a good place for me...close to sand and snow both within reasonable distance at the same time....?

I'm on the opposite coast. It is not at the end of the world...but you can see it from here
