I'm going to have to do that one of these years, it looks like a blast. We usually go up after Sandfest and before Dunefest to try & miss the crowds.

We usually help out with sound check at Sandfest for a day...everytime we are there it's so windy...I know HAHA considering we live here and complain about the wind...kinda oxymoron...:rofl:

That's funny, everytime we camp at coosbay/hauser its not windy very often & when we go to winchester its windy as hell.

I's right where they hold SandFest that it's real bad....comes in right off the bay...
Dunefest is a toss up also...
I think we have had more windy days in Florence riding...

The LEO's will be out...in all the years we have been going we have never been stopped by them......but we do stop one of them to talk..( Sheriff Doug)...

Dunefest will have one less smiling LEO face this year and camp host at Halfmoon Bay.....Doug's cancer has come back, so he and his wife Kim will be leaving as the camp hosts also.....they will be missed

As of now last man standing is still all but working on it..
The SxS racing on Sat. is broken up and they will add classes as needed..

Sorry to hear about your truck, that happen to ours with 65,000 miles... but it runs like a champ now...

Jon ...even with it broken into turbo / NA with a bit of straight stretch and a passing area, the race will still be overwhelmed with quick LT machines and XP 900s this year ...bet ya ....

After this year of dominance by these machines, not many or any regular Sunday drivers will want to enter next year ....this race was started for fun and this year will change that IMO....

Your idea has merit, but to class a factory stock 2008 RZR 800 against a stock XP 900, let alone anything slower than the 800 would be depressing to watch....

So along with your idea, could another factor be used to push the LT machines up into their own class also ....any suspension over a predetermined width is in another class ....this would attempt to keep a fun Sunday driver class .....Lance
