Our 5 piece UHMW skid plate packages are ready to ship. We're offering a package similar to the Can Am protection package but ours is constructed from UHMW and is hundreds $$ less expensive. Lighter, slicker and tougher than aluminum, UHMW has become the overwhelming industry favorite for UTV protection. All bolt on no drilling required.

Sorry for the quality of picture, was late an I only had my cell phone, will post better pics soon!

Front Skid Plate - Retail $154 Forum $149

Lateral Skid Plates - Retail $220 Forum $209

Center Skid Plates - Retail$310 Forum $299 (includes main and rear skid plates)

A-arm Guards Retail - $110 Forum $100

We will also continue to offer our 1 piece main skid plates for those who prefer that setup, but shipping is quite a bit more expensive for the 1 piece.

Looks great Bob, a great addition to this machine and as you stated, a better alternative to the aluminum skids!

Skids look great. I was always an aluminum kinda guy but you may have changed my way of thinking. Great looking product, great looking price.

Thanks and yes no doubt superior to aluminum in most every way. Here is an updated picture

We introduced UHMW to the UTV marketplace several years ago now and the response has been fantastic. the pic below is a current poll running on RZRforums.net and gives you an indication of the popularity of UHMW over Aluminum. UHMW is lighter, slicker and super tough stuff. It doesn't make you cringe when it clank's off rocks like aluminum does because it doesn't clank! Once they get worn and the mounting holes get stretched out aluminum skids start making all kinds of annoying vibration noises as well. One thing that has always stuck with me was a story from a customer who said he had an old set of diving shoes and the soles were made from aluminum for better traction on the rocks under water. One thing you don't want is traction from your skid plates

Do you know if these still fit the 2012 Commander 1000 X machines? IF they
do I would like to buy a set, is there still a discount for forum members?

Torque for fastners

When you install the skid plates do you torque the fastners to a specific foot pounds? I have the same question for the harness bar?

Sometimes I over tighten bolts and end up stripping the threads, other times because I worry about stripping the threads I do not tighten them enough, that is why I am asking.

I can only comment on the harnesses...I just tightened them as much as I could...did not use torque wrench...Barbara

Love the look of both of you skid plate setups, but any chance you are working on another piece to cover the sides and have it wrap around the edge a litte?
Does anyone know if this skid plate protection will allow for a plow mounting kit?
I am not sure as I do not have a plow on my machine. It works fine with the winch and I really like the protection I get, I have hit some big rocks and stumps and have had not problems with any damage.
Anyone had issues with sticks getting jammed between the belly pan and the lateral skids? The picture shows a gap, seems to me this would be a problem.
Some have put foam in the gap and others have cut the front a little different. You can order it without the front edge cut but just marked so you can cut it however you want.
I just went out to look at the picture online because when I put mine on I did not have a gap. It looks to me on the picture that they put the main plate on after the lateral and the front skid plates. When I put mine on I put the main plate on first and there are cut joints on each piece that overlap on top of the main plate. So I do not have that gap.
