When in four wheel drive front diff is clicking, and or grinding like its trying to engage. Only when in mud, it wont do it on solid ground. I checked the axles after looking at other threads it looks like dust shield on pass side is out about 1/8in from the diff. Has this happened to anyone else on here.

Have you check the CV joints really good?... playing around on dirt in 4x4 is different than the stress/resistance of mud.
