This past week I was camping at the north rim of the grand canyon. In the mornings when I started my 1000 XT it would start then die. This would happen 4 to 6 times before it would stay running. It was acting like a choke not coming on. After warm up if would stat normally. When I got back home (4000 ft) if starts normally. I talk to 2 dealer mechanics and neither had a clue. I live 2 1/2 hours from the nearest dealer and would like to give them suggestions for a cause of this problem. Any help out there?
Thanks. Clyde

First thing comes to my mind Clyde is the thin air plus its cold start extra fuel (the EFI electronic choke) may be causing an overly rich scenerio.
