have a new 2011 commander 3 mounths old, im not a hard rider just trails, had it to the shop the first week because it went into limp mode, got that fixed , then back in for 10 hour servise check just last month, now im hearing a load clunking or knocking sound when i start out slow going in forword or reverse, now im going to have to take it in again!! any help, im not sure if its the rear diff. or something other than that

Having had mine now for several months....and also riding in LBR"S Rhintax I don't even notice the cluck....it is a BRP thing you wouldn't understand...LOL
sorry was just making a funny because we are jeep owners also....the clunk has to do with the helix it's not that anything is wrong...to some of us and only some of us it's a statice symbol...of owning a BRP poduct...Barbara

I have this 'clunk' now. I rode Hatfield McCoy a couple weeks ago. I took it out of the garage yesterday and 'clunk, clunk, clunk' when going forward slowly. Reverse seems ok but I tried not to make anything worse than it already was. Going into dealer on Saturday, I'll post results.

Yeah, that may be the rearend for sure ....haven't heard of u joints giving noise on these, but rearends have been a problem ....

BLR was referring the the initial hit of the helix when shifting into a gear, not what you guys are experiencing IMO .....Lance
