I have been having an alarm "Engine Transmission Communication Failure", This alarm doesn't have any effect on performance, doesn't go into Limp Mode but my speedometer or tachometer doesn't work while it is in alarm. The problem started when I power washed the unit after getting in the mud. I had my dealer look into it and he was unable to find the problem. He thinks it could be the ECM but so far I don't agree with him. I'm reluctant to spend that much money on a new ECM and have it not be the answer to the problem. One of the techs at the dealership mentioned that it could be a speed sensor. Has anyone had this problem with their UTV?

Not ever had this problem, but first i would do is disconnect the battery negative, then both ecm plugs, blow out and use dielectric grease at least around the edges for a good seal. Then do the tranny plug the same and really grease it good, snap back together. Check battery positive for tightness, then install negative and fire up to check.
