I installed a can am oe heater/defroster in my 2012 commander 1000xt. Problem is, I don't have key on power at the connector next to the battery, to the left of the steering wheel. The loom with the heater has both the male and female 2 pin plugs on the same end of the loom. The directions seem pretty start forward and say to connect the accessory plug to the right of the battery into the harness. Sounds simple enough but I don't have key on power at that plug. It appears to be just the control circut for the new heater control valve, the wires are small, like maybe 18ga. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Well, figured out the brp connector had a pin that wasn't full engaged in the plug. But now the potentiometer that controls the electric heater valve is defective. When it rains it pours.
