I have the Half windshield I got from ?????? not OEM. Anyway last trip to Pismo it got covered in what I thought was sea salt and couldn't see through it. So out came the Windex and the SAND, not sea salt put some nice scratches in it and it is now not very clear. Any ideas how to remedy this? Or is it a learning experience and time to get a new one?

I made the same mistake with my half windsheild. There is a product called Plexus. It comes in a spray can. It's about $20 but it works as a cleaner and polisher for the windsheild. Use a hose to try and blow the dirt off of it and then use the Plexus.

I've used buffing compound for plastics (can't remember which color off hand) and a clean Mother's Powerball before to help blend scratches out. It's can distort the view if you don't buff evenly tho. Cleaning with lemon Pledge helps hide imperfections also after sand has been removed.
